Linear laser receiver ULS250

Description

Our ULS250 is a 360° laser receiver developed and manufactured for mobile machine grading application. Typically it will be used in an automatic blade control system.

The ULS250 receives laser strikes from a rotating laser that creates a reference laser plane. Depending on where the actual strike hits the reception window the receiver will send a corresponding elevation signal to the controller of the solenoid valves of the hydraulic blade height cylinders. Any height difference to on-grade position will be corrected permanently, in real time, and with Millimetre precision.

The ULS250 is linear (proportional). That means that within its reception window the on-grade position can be moved electronically from the centre to any off-grade position simply by a push on a button of the control panel of our UMC4000. You will not have to jump out of the cabin to adjust the height either of the receiver or the rotating laser. If you have too much material in front of your blade, you might set a temporary offset on-grade to push away excessive material first, then come back, choose original on-grade position, and do the final grading work. And, on a push of a button you can set center on-grade position again.

The ULS250 delivers 1 mm accuracy over the whole reception window of 25 cm. Thus, it is a perfect tool for fine grading jobs.

5 channel laser receiver SLS220

Description

Our SLS220 is a budget-priced 360° laser receiver developed and manufactured for machine control applications, in particular for automatic blade elevation control. The reception height is 22 cm in total.

It ist a 5 channel machine laser receiver. The on-grade position is fixed at the centre of its reception window. To adjust the blade's cutting edge to a laser reference height the operator shall move the entire receiver up or down the holding tube, or to crank the rotating laser on a tripod up or down.

In a machine control system the 5 channels of SLS220 (far above, above, centre, below, far below) determine the control behaviour of the system: Depending on where the rotating laser beam hits the receiver, the control will move the blade faster or more smooth to the centre on-grade position.

Our SLS220 has an accuracy of 2 mm. Thus, the minimum dead-band in a machine control application is 2 mm. It can be adjusted to 5 cm by the use of UMC4000 control panel - depending on the job you'd like to do.

Multi-Sonic Sensor UMS224

Description

The UMS224 is a precise ultrasonic sensor for use on road construction machinery. It is the CAN variation of its "brother" G224 Mini-Line® for asphalt pavers.

This ultrasonic sensor measures the elevation over reference ground, curb-stone or string-line. It has four sonic transducers in a row. This way, the UMS224 can detect not only the height over a string-line, but also the its direction. In conjunction with UMC4000 automatic blade control, the height of the dozer blade is kept on-grade and aligned at the side. Two hydraulic side-doors of the blade will be automatically steered and aligned.

Our UMS224 has built-in LED height displays on the side and front, as well as LEDs for lateral adjustment over a string-line. This facilitates the set-up, and allows an easy visual control during operation.

A stainless steel bail that will be latched into the bottom of the sensor serves as a reference for temperature compensation of ultrasonic measurements.

Three axis slope sensor UNS300

Description

The UNS300 is an external slope sensor in a robust aluminium housing. He is designed for machine use. Typically, it will be mounted on to the dozer or grading blade to determine the longitudinal and cross slope. In case of extreme vibration, p. e. when used in milling machinery, there is an extra shock-mount available.

The sensor measures the slope in all three axis X, Y, Z. It has a resolution of 0,1° and it is temperature compensated. The sensor will be mounted in cases, when the UMC4000 control box with internal slope sensor cannot be installed onto the moving blade.

Using the slope sensor with UMC4000 control system the inclination direction can be inverted by a simple push on a key-switch. The slope can also be switched from left to right side of the blade. This makes a U-turn and change of cross fall an easy manoeuvre.
